Problem: We noticed that from the time the customer filled out the credit application form to the moment this application was accepted or rejected and the card was issued, a period of 10 or 12 days passed.
Solution: We developed a Web application specially designed for the BlackBerry smart phone’s browser. This app enables the sales rep to enter minimum data of the person concerned (no more than 10), so as to check the information quickly, thus getting a pre-approval or a rejection according to the strategy determined by those in charge of risk management. In the case of being pre-approved, the sales rep can continue with the entry process. This application is made available to one of the verifiers, who analyses and confirms or rejects it in hours. Once approved, the card is passed on to the embossing and delivery section. Total time for approval is less than 24 hours.
